Pretty slow week. A foot of snow put a damper in training. 14 Feb ranks among my top-five all-time most annoying and frustrating runs...cold snow, ankle deep, above my gaiters, with a layer of ice on top...pretty much did high-knee drills through the woods for an hour. I did, however, see a ton of turkey tracks and a pile of turkey poop that sank down through the snow in one spot. Temperatures next week are expected to be in the upper 50s and lower 60s, so everything should melt off. Mount Tammany is about a month away, so I need to get my elevation up this week and spend more time on my feet.
