I was hoping for a better week, but work was busier than anticipated. I spent a few nights at work until 1900 getting things ready for graduation and taking care of odds and ends. Luckily, I still had time for a few shorter runs, which added up throughout the week. We have a break at work until the end of May when the next group of candidates shows up. Until then, there are 4 races on my calendar and plenty of time to train for each of them.
Yet again, Mother Nature is expected to blanket Virginia with another 4-8" overnight tonight. But with Tammany being only 6 days away I won't run too much this week anyway. Tomorrow I'll do curls for the girls, and Tuesday I might do an Insanity workout and run a few roads miles around my neighborhood. Wednesday and Thursday I will probably jog the OCS trails and service roads, and finish up with some light stationary bike Friday morning. I want to be well-rested for the race next Saturday - my legs need to be fresh for the 12,500 feet of elevation gain over the 40-mile race course.
