As always, I wanted more mileage this week, but I'm still satisfied with my performance at Promise Land 50k. My foot started feeling goofy after Tuesday's 6-mile run, so I rested my legs Wednesday and rode a stationary bike. I tend to play it safe when it comes to potential injuries, especially 3 days before a race. Next week, I intend to get back on the trails and jeep roads to prepare for the 48-hour race in three weeks. I'll cash in my 12-mile-5,000-feet-elevation-gain-Saturday-morning runs for longer and flatter training runs over the next few weeks. I've got a couple of great runs in mind for next week, all of which are very similar to the race course.
Until next time...
