I was hoping for more miles this week, but I got too busy late in the week. The Bull Run Run 50-miler is next Saturday, but I intend to keep running through Thursday to add up the mileage. The Promise Land 50k is two weeks after that, followed by that 48-hour thingy in mid-May. I'm really excited for these next three races since I haven't ran any of them before. Closing out the spring with a 48-hour race will be tough after quite a few races, but it's going to be a blast. My friend Tristin is also running, and his wife Molly will be there to chill with my photographer for a few days. Kari's family might also stop by sometime during the race. All of this is training for my 100-miler in the fall.
I got into Grindstone in October, so I am withdrawing from the Mogollon Monster 100. I am changing jobs this summer, and probably cannot get travel days to head to Arizona in September. Thankfully, I got into Grindstone, which is only a few hours drive, so I still have the opportunity to run a 100-miler this year. I'm hoping the RDs for Mogollon Monster understand and refund my registration fee...
